- Upcoming events
Join us on August 16th at the Holtsville Ecology Center for our annual family picnic from 12 pm to 3 pm. We’ll have a fun-filled day with great food, classic games, and new games to play. The kids can visit the zoo area, explore the beautiful gardens, and burn off energy at the playground. We’ll also have a pool option for those who want to cool off for a small extra fee. If you’d like to bring a dish to share, that would be great. Please note there’s a parking fee, so check the Brookhaven website for details. Click the link to sign up now and join the fun.
At All Island Martial Arts, we’re here to help you live your best life. As part of our commitment to our community, we’ll be hosting a variety of free events every other month, including stranger danger awareness seminars, women’s self-defense classes, teenager self-defense classes, and fun-filled holiday activities. These events are open to the public and provide valuable resources and information for our community. To stay informed about upcoming events, including dates, times, and details, please visit our website or follow us on Facebook. We’re excited to share these events with you and look forward to seeing you there.
- Closures
August 27 to September 6, All Island Martial Arts will be closed for vacation. We’ll resume classes on the next business day after September 6. In the meantime, our instructor will be going live on Facebook and Instagram while on vacation, so be sure to like us on both platforms to catch the live streams and stay up to date on current information and exclusive content.
- Schedule change
Let’s review what we’ve got. Schedule Changes. We’re planning to make some adjustments to our class schedule as we head into the fall season. Since many of our students are currently on summer break, we won’t be making any immediate changes. However, once school starts and our regular routine resumes, we’ll be assessing our class sizes and making adjustments to ensure everyone has a fun and engaging experience. We’re likely looking at implementing these changes around the first week of October, introducing family classes that will bring students together in a more dynamic way. This will allow families with multiple kids to participate in just one or two classes, making it easier for parents to spend quality time with their kids without long waits at the studio. By combining classes, we’ll create a more energetic and supportive community where everyone can thrive together. We’re really excited about this change and can’t wait to see the positive impact it will have on our students and their families. And just to add, your feedback is crucial to us, so if you have any thoughts or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to share them with us.

By mixing things up and trying new approaches, you can stay motivated and excited about your training. Train with a friend or family member to add a social element, or teach others to stay sharp and engaged. And why not try practicing your forms in a new environment like the pool or beach? The resistance of the water or unpredictability of the waves can make your training more challenging and fun. So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and shake up your training routine. Try something new today and see how it takes your skills to the next level.
